Company Overview

1986 - American Radiographics was incorporated in Taunton, Massachusetts. Their mission was to provide affordable x-ray equipment at a significant savings to customers without jeopardizing health care. The company quickly became the premier remanufacturer of GE R/F rooms, GE AMX portables and C-Arm systems due to guaranteed performance and safety features that meet or exceed the original manufacturers' specifications.

August 1994 - American Radiographics, Inc. (ARI) was purchased by Huestis Medical to become their primary supplier of quality remanufactured medical equipment. Founded in 1920 by J. Floyd Huestis, ARI's new mother company had begun as a specialty machinery supplier to local manufacturing companies in Bristol, Rhode Island. Huestis Machine Corporation would later expand in the early 70's to include radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging applications under the Huestis Medical corporate umbrella. Since being purchased by Huestis in August 1994, American Radiographics Inc. (ARI) has conducted business under the Huestis Medical name - ARI d.b.a. Huestis Medical, or as Huestis/ARI.

September 1996 - Huestis Medical acquired Pro-Tronics,
a remanufacturer with extensive experience at working on GE AMX portables and OEC C-Arms. Doing so significantly increased Huestis' remanufacturing and distribution capabilities. Located just outside of Chicago, Illinois, Pro-Tronics became American Radiographics Inc. - IL (ARI-IL). They also do business as (d.b.a.) Huestis Medical.

July 2006 - All Huestis companies are purchased by Best Medical International, a Virginia-based corporation founded in 1977. They are now part of the TeamBest™ group of companies, operated by Best Medical's founder and President Krishnan Suthanthiran. Made up of individuals every bit as dedicated as their leader, TeamBest™ is driven by one primary goal - to provide the best products and services to customers around the world.

September 2009 - Huestis/ARI moved from Taunton, Massachusetts to the corporate building located in Bristol, Rhode Island to streamline our operations and better meet the growing needs of our valued customers and to offer expanded products and services.
