Company History
Huestis
Machine Corporation, Bristol, RI, was founded in 1920 by J.
Floyd Huestis as a specialty machinery supplier to local manufacturing
companies. Early projects included custom work for Sam Colt's
National India Rubber Co. (the father of Uniroyal) as well
as Nat Herreshoff's America's Cup defending yachts Weetamoe
and Enterprise.
Working closely with wire and cable manufacturers, Huestis
Industrial has earned a reputation for producing highly engineered
machines for specialized requirements in the wire, cable and
fiber optic market.
Renowned for dependability and rugged design, Huestis Industrial's
success is a result of practical, innovative engineering.
ISO 9001 registered manufacturing supports the acclaimed Air
Miser and Mini Wipe air wipe systems, Payoff and
Take-up Stands, Space Saver buncher pay-off stands,
Accumulators, Cable Jacket Strippers, Spoolers and Coilers
and the Bendmaster® CNC wire and tube bender. Huestis
Industrial also distributes PWM cold pressure welders and

Recognized for expertise in custom machining capabilities,
Huestis was first approached in the early 1970's to design
and manufacture equipment used in radiation therapy. Developing
opportunities successfully led to involvement with radiotherapy
and diagnostic imaging applications under the Huestis
Medical umbrella.
