GE XT Suspension
Remanufactured Overhead, Moveable Suspension System
 Huestis
Medical's remanufactured GE XT Suspension systems are completely
dismantled, structurally inspected and thoroughly remanufactured
to provide accurate radiographic positioning.
Each unit is fitted with select Huestis Medical or GE upgrades
including new bearings, tracks, counterweight and electrical
cables, counterpoise spring drum and gooseneck assembly where
applicable. After a detailed three-step paint process each
system is completely pre-staged for compatibility to GE tables
and other auxiliary equipment, and calibrated to OEM specifications.

Precision Alignment
- High precision, octagonal, proportionally telescoping
columns.
- Self-aligning bearings provide accurate, vibration-free
positioning throughout the 59” (150 cm) vertical travel.
- Offset tube mount allows maximum source-to-image distance.
- Full longitudinal and transverse radiographic coverage.
- Calibrated at Huestis Medical facility prior to shipping.
Stable Positioning
- Adaptable to either ceiling, wall or floor-supported installation
to minimize room design.
- Counterpoise spring and cam design maintains constant
vertical moving effort with 6 — 8 Lbs. (2.7 —
3.6 kg) breakaway force.
- Wide 25-3/4” (65 cm) movable inboard bridge design
for maximum stability.
- Large diameter guide bearings allow effortless longitudinal
and transverse positioning with 3 — 4 Lbs. (1.4 —
1.8 kg) moving effort inboard.
- Field adjustable counterpoise system and swing down hinged
carriage expedite on-site servicing, minimize downtime and
allow mounting flush to the ceiling.
- Indexed rotation of tube collimator about both vertical
and horizontal axes.
Smooth Movement
- Manually controlled movements with an electric detent
at transverse table center and selectable detents for use
with ancillary radiographic equipment provide rapid and
precise alignment.
- Special inertia sensing safety systems minimize the potential
for patient injury by restricting column drop in the event
of counterpoise or cable malfunction.
- Patient safety is further addressed with electromagnetic
vertical and angulation locks which hold in the event of
power failure.
Installation Flexibility
- Inboard or outboard configurations provide installation
flexibility for varying room requirements.
- Outboard configuration available to directly replace earlier
GE systems, significantly reducing construction cost.
- Optional longitudinal and lateral cable concealments complement
the naturally aesthetic design.
