Remanufactured GE R/F Rooms — Remanufacturing Steps

remanufacted system paint detailRemanufactured GE R/F tables undergo a thorough steam cleaning, structural inspection, and replacement of worn cables, safety mechanisms, motors, and electrical switches. All locks, gears, bearings and track surfaces are also inspected and replaced or repaired as required. The system is then subjected to a detailed cosmetic refinishing process and completely assembled in one of our pre-staging rooms to ensure component compatibility, operational functions and calibration to OEM specifications.

Table System

  • The table is completely dismantled to it's bare frame and undergoes a thorough steam cleaning of all non-sensitive components.
  • The system is inspected for structural imperfections and fatigue followed by replacement of worn and unacceptable components.
  • All counterweight cables are replaced and all safety mechanisms are tested.
  • All motors and electrical switches are tested for operational integrity and replaced or rebuilt as necessary.
  • All locks and detents are inspected and replaced and gears are replaced with upgrade metal versions.
  • All bearings and track surfaces are inspected and replaced or repaired as required.
  • The system undergoes our refinishing process consisting of Kondar primer surfacing then applications of color coat with current General Electric type finish.
  • The system is now reassembled for pre-staging and calibration.
  • During pre-staging any cabling subjected to flex breaking is replaced, trim hardware is replaced and Mylar covers and shields are replaced.
  • The system is completely assembled in one of our pre-stage rooms for component compatibility, operational functions and calibrated to OEM specifications.

High Frequency X-Ray Generator

  • New High Frequency generators are available in output ratings from 30KW to 100KW from various suppliers.
  • Optional Pulsed Fluoroscopy modules and Touchscreen consoles are available.

Spot-Film Device

  • The spot film device is dismantled and trim panels are forwarded to refinishing.
  • The entire system undergoes a thorough cleaning and inspection for overall integrity.
  • At this time the unit will be rejected or will enter the re-manufacturing area.
  • All motors, relays, solenoids and clutches are tested and repaired or replaced as required.
  • The internal cassette carriage is inspected for fatigue and excessive wear and is replaced as necessary.
  • All bearings and track surfaces are inspected and replaced as required.
  • All switches, pots and other controls are tested and replaced as required.
  • All cables, springs, belts and associated parts are inspected and replaced as required.
  • New protective lead protective apron is installed.
  • The system undergoes our refinishing process consisting of Kondar primer surfacing then applications of color coat with current General Electric type finish.
  • The system will now be pre-staged to its associated table and fully tested and calibrated to OEM specifications.

Image System

  • The image system is dismantled/ inspected.
  • Unit is cleaned and all nonstandard modifications are removed.
  • All components and cables are inspected and replaced as needed.
  • Unit is reassembled and undergoes complete cosmetic restoration.
  • Unit is assembled on the end users R/F table and calibrated to OEM specifications.
  • At this time the real usable “system gain and efficiency” is analyzed and must meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Generator is interfaced to the image system and modified to maintain 10R/min. limit.
  • All cameras are new CCD units.
  • Optional Infimed or CMT Digital systems are available.
  • Final calibration checks of radiation output level, kV, ma, filtration, sizing, focus, linearity, auto brightness tracking and ability to penetrate a full size phantom is made.
  • The final product is a completely renewed image system.

XT Radiographic Suspension

  • The primary stage of processing an XT is the dismantling and inspection of all components of the system.
  • The system is inspected for structural imperfections and physical wear of the metal components.
  • All bearings and track surfaces are inspected and replaced as necessary.
  • Counterweight and safety cables are inspected and replaced on all systems.
  • The counterpoise spring and drum assembly is inspected and replaced if replacement has not been completed within the previous thirty-six (36) months.
  • Vertical safety drum assembly is upgraded to current model and tested for functionaliity.
  • All locks are inspected/ replaced as required.
  • Low/ high voltage cables are replaced.
  • Internal and electrical cables are inspected and replaced as required.
  • The gooseneck assembly is retrofitted with balance plate to reduce rotational lock wear and a high voltage cable support brake to reduce flexing.
  • The system is now cut to the desired customer length and forwarded to cosmetic refinishing.
  • The system undergoes our refinishing process consisting of Kondar primer surfacing then applications of color coat with current General Electric type finish.
  • The system is pre-staged for total functional inspection/ calibration to original specification.

All Systems

  • Each unit comes with a complete set of manuals: operator, service, schematic.
