questions for your convenience.
What does Flexi•holder® do?
Flexi•holder® allows accurate X-rays to be taken
from virtually any angle from floor level to 71” + high.
Calibrated for accurate and repeatable positioning, Flexi•holder®
accepts virtually any type or size cassette and does not obscure
the cassette film area. Both freestanding and tabletop models
significantly reduce retakes saving time and film in various
radiographic procedures.
Is Flexi•holder® easy to use?
Flexi•holder® rolls into position on large casters
and tilts the cassette 180° facing straight up, straight
down or anywhere in between. A rotating arm adjusts the cassette
360° vertically, and telescopes 26” + over the X-ray
or operating room table. An optional 36” + arm is available.
Convenient ratchet handles can be repositioned easily to
eliminate interference problems when positioning cassettes.
The telescoping arm is counterweighted for easy raising and
lowering, and a lip on the cassette holder enables the cassette
to be inserted with one hand, if necessary.
How is accuracy ensured with Flexi•holder®?
Calibration scales on the column and arm encourage exact,
repeatable angulation.
What size cassettes can be used with Flexi•holder®?
Flexi•holder® accepts virtually any type or size
cassette and does not obscure the cassette film area. Flexi•holder®
works with cassettes from 6” x 8” to 14” x
17” in size from 0” - 1” thick. By removing
the lower safety lip, an 18” x 36” can be held by
the 18” width.
What is the weight capacity of Flexi•holder®?
Flexi•holder® has an extra wide base for maximum
stability. With the standard 26” arm length, it can support
up to 29.7 Lbs. (13.5 Kg) of force toward the open side of
the base, 27.9 Lbs. (12.6 Kg) toward the opposite closed side,
and 26.1 Lbs. (11.9 Kg) toward either lateral base side.
What differentiates the Flexi•holder®
models?
Flexi•holder® FH-303 features an extra wide base
for maximum stability. It rolls into position on large, locking
casters and tilts the cassette 180° facing straight up,
down or anywhere in between.
Flexi•holder® FH-201 tabletop model tilts the cassette
135° from horizontal. It slides under the patient or holds
the cassette below the edge of a table.
Are there any additional components that I will
have to purchase?
Flexi•holder® comes as a complete system. An optional
36” + arm is available to extend the telescoping distance.
