What do Calipers do?
Huestis Medical Calipers are designed to be the most accurate
calipers in radiology. They can be used for tabletop distances
to determine central-axis and off-axis measurements. The reversing
caliper orientation helps determine separations such as laterals,
obliques, and off-table measurements.
Are Calipers easy to use?
Reversed orientation scales help prevent reading the wrong
scale or transposing numbers on the scale. Off-table, point-to-point
scales read from the top down. Tabletop scales read from the
table up, in a different color. Wide caliper bases ensure
perpendicularity to table top. Specially shaped pointer(s)
reach around extended body contours. Easily adjusted thumb
screw grips firmly at any position on scale.
How is accuracy ensured with Calipers?
Each caliper design is carefully planned to help prevent
measurement miscalculations. Extremely detailed construction
allows scales to be calibrated and verified in 1 mm increments.
Interrelated parts are precision machined to prevent looseness
at the caliper's connecting joint. Detailed engineering utilizes
minimal fastener points to ensure rigidity.
Are Calipers durable?
Precision machined, lightweight aluminum ensures accurate
tolerances and lasting durability. Thick, double anodized
construction helps prevent deterioration over time. Recessed
indicators do not rub against the slide, so indicator enumeration
does not fade from wear.
What type of measurement can be obtained
with Calipers?
Central-axis and off-axis measurements, as well as laterals,
obliques and off-table measurements are all readily obtained.
What differentiates the Caliper models?
